How it all started…
The first doors opened in 1962, La Via Pizzeria, located on Main street in Eden N.Y. La Via remained in Eden until 1976. During that time owner Denny Pollutro mastered the first self rising frozen pizza to hit the market. An incredible business was built servicing hundreds of bars, ski resorts, golf courses and camp sites.
After numerous retail pizzerias throughout Western New York & California Denny decided to simplify and opened our first wholesale pizza establishment in Armor N.Y. known to many as Angela Mia's. In 1980 Angela Mia's started producing the same great and missed La Via frozen pizza. Denny beat the pavement to reestablish the once well known pizza and started to recreate the network. Home deliveries & fundraisers were then the main focus. By the late 1980's the business had grown and a larger facility was needed. The business moved to Clark Street in Hamburg N.Y. By the late 1990's Denny decided to retire & fold up his apron strings.
Today at La Via Italia I am proud to offer the same great family recipe that so many had became to love and miss. I am proud to bring back my father's legacy and hope to have the same support to make it all that Denny had created.
